Name: Kate Simmons
About : Kate was introduced to yoga in 2007. What began as a search for a good workout evolved into a deeper understanding of and love for the practice. Her firsthand experience with the physical and emotional healing that yoga offers sparked her desire to share it with others. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at The Light Within Yoga Studio in West Grove, PA, and began teaching in 2014. In addition to ashtanga-based vinyasa yoga, Kate teaches trauma-sensitive classes as an instructor for Transformation Yoga Project. Kate is a special education teacher at Devereux Brandywine Middle School in Glenmoore, PA, where she works with young men with emotional and behavioral challenges. In her down time, Kate enjoys indoor cycling; going to concerts; reading; and relaxing with her cats, George and Sweet Caroline, and her dog, Utley.
